19 of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been achieved on hard surfaces
A resurgent Medvedev claimed his initial title for nearly 30 months with victory over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
Medvedev, a former world number one, has had a challenging season, achieving just one match at the big events and experiencing a setback at the New York tournament.
The player's varied form on the ATP Tour - and issues with his service game in especial - caused him falling of the top ten and finally parting ways with long-term trainer Gilles Cervara.
Currently working with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently improved in the recent weeks - peaking in a closely contested competitive victory over Frenchman Moutet.
This represents the player's maiden trophy following the Italian tournament and initial on a hard surface since that period of the previous year.
The win also means Medvedev has achieved twenty-one titles at twenty-one various tournaments.
"It's the first time I am participating in a competition with my children at once, so to get a championship is especially meaningful," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in dedication of my second daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I achieved when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had been defeated in his past six title deciders, featuring in Halle earlier this year.
Medvedev's retrieving play style and frequent outbursts on the tennis court had prompted commentators to question if his capacity to perform at the top level was concluded.
However the 29-year-old has altered his approach in the last few weeks, attempting to advance forward and perform aggressively, reinforced by an improved serving game.
The champion fought back from a deficit in the opening set against the tricky opponent, securing four of the final five points to take the lead.
The pair traded breaks in the second set before the challenger, bidding for his maiden ATP Tour victory, took control to create a third set.
He rescued four initial chances in a close third set before the Russian won the break to fifteen to secure the win.
Fittingly, Medvedev secured the win with a point at the net, with his opponent incapable to control a volley after a lengthy match.
